Moved Again to Wordpress at www.blueheavenliving.com

Come find me - I am going in circles.  Somehow figured out how to get back into blogger.

HOPEFULLY, this is the real move.
You are a beautiful person.

Picture of dad Wednesday out to his monthly lunch with his exercise class at the Hometown Buffet at Southland.  Always has that beautiful smile.  Auntie Isabel was supposed to have eye surgery and have her cornea scraped, but after an hour and a half, and a room full of other patients waiting for eye surgeries, everyone was sent home because the sterilizing machine had broken.  Dad and I went to Castro Valley and visited with Rose Lopes and Joan Benson at the senior home.  Poor Rose fell again and fractured her left arm in two places.  Getting old is making me very nervous.  Rose is in her early 90's.  I took a five hour nap!  Feeling a little out of sorts.  Sometimes a change in weather that does to me.  I'm definitely a Sunshine Girl!

One more try may be all it takes!

One more try may be all it takes!

Hmmm....  Looks like I may be at Blogger for a while longer.  I am a little lost here.  Also, I thought underlining and coloring the title at Wordpress was harder than blogger, but look!  It does the same thing here on blogger.  I never posted up in the title bar before.  Maybe this was why way back in the beginning.  Yet, I see other blogs with titles that have underlines and colors.  The only solution I have found so far is using another browser (Foxfire?), but I am using Internet Explorer.  Should I take the time and add my titles here in blogger so at least they can transfer with me and I don't have to keep re-doing them??  No matter which way I go, I am in for a lot of extra steps.  But, if I just stay Patient!!!!!  That word keeps interferring!!!!  lol

So, last night Bill Mack said Comcast is coming today to give them a second DVR and they are getting an "Any Room DVR" setup where you can record on one DVR and watch in any room.  Comcast didn't have that yet when we got our two DVR's so we called Comcast and arranged for them to come to the house to hook it up Friday.  But dad wants to hang out today and see if we can snatch Bill's Comcast guy, to come next door and do ours after his.  Guess it's worth a try!

We have cancelled our Comcast appointment.  The Comcast guy at Bill's house told dad that the "Any Room DVR" setup would not work for us because my tv is not an HD tv.  This is probably for the best, because I can definitely predict that dad would have driven me crazy with this.  Either not EVER knowing how to use it - or - deleting things that "I" have set to be recorded.  Anybody Relate????  lol
I'll be honest - I am pretty scared that I am going to get this weird when I am 87.  The body breaks down.  The mind breaks down.  I would like to be the exception to that rule!  Yea!!

You deserve good things!

You deserve good things!

Dad and I drove the back road to Livermore this morning.  Such a nice drive on a beautiful day.  Had a great two-hour (as usual) lunch at Shari's Restaurant with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel.  Tonight Bill Mack brought us over a bunch of goodies (as usual).  Tonight he brought Carol's home made pasta, ripe bananas and roasted chicken - which we have been making chicken and chow chow sandwiches with.  Honestly, every single day this fall season has been about as perfect as it gets.  We are so blessed.  I always want to remember these amazingly beautiful, wonderful, serene, happy, healthy days.  And Treasure Them.

See your own beauty.

See your own beauty.

Dad and I are going to the movies this morning and see "Lincoln" with Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field.  Both the Raiders and the 49ers are playing today.  Luigi is snuggling with me.  This already feels like a perfect day.

Today is a new starting point. Begin!

Today is a new starting point. Begin!

Busy Saturday!  Bought a Phillips Sonicare Series 4 Healthy White Electric Toothbrush at Walmart.  Has Clean and White Mode.  Whitens teeth 2 shades in only 2 weeks.  Removes up to 2x more plaque.  2 modes to help maintain whitening treatments longer.  I know that it is silly getting excited over an electric toothbrush, but my gums are still sore from my last deep cleaning Tuesday, and anything that will help, makes me Ecstatically Happy!

Dad, Luigi and I took a ride to Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton and went to the Office Max Store and bought a new printer.  It is another Brother Printer.  On sale from $100 to $49.  Model MFC-J430W.  Prints color, scans, copies and faxes.  All-in-one.  I like to stay with the same basic printer and I have lots of ink cartridges that will work with this new printer.

We took Luigi to the Drigon Dog Park on Mission Blvd.  He ran and ran and found a ball to play with.  Lots of fun.  Came home and made more chow chow and had sandwiches and then set my printer up and started charging my new toothbrush.  I'll take my old printer over to Salvation Army.  Beautiful, perfect sunny day.

You're moving forward.

You're moving forward.

I do believe today is the day I am going to sign up for WordPress and start my new LifeLong Blog.  BlueHost looks like it has a lot of tutorials that work with WordPress.  So far, I am still leaning towards using BlueheavenLiving as my LifeLong Blog Title.  Seems it would work well for the next fifty years (lol) and go along with me with any directions that I may take in my Lifetime.  I just find that I enjoy writing my little blog.  I Love to Start New Projects.  Bluehost is offering a Black Friday Special today at $3.95 a month to host.  I would have to sign up for 36 months and scrape together every last dime that I currently have - but, what the heck!  It will definitely keep me busy and out of trouble for a while.  Went to the jacuzzi again last night.  Aaaahhhh  I Do Love Being Spoiled.

Yea!  I purchased my new domain name BlueheavenLiving on Bluehost.  It is being installed right now.  Think this will take awhile.  My printer has errors, but I don't want to fool with it until I get this blogging thing installed.  One step at a time.  Then I am going to see if I can transfer all of my blogging from here AroundHayward to my new WordPress blog BlueheavenLiving.

I already don't know how to logon to my new Wordpress.org.  Okay, the challenges begin!  Just spent over an hour and going in circles.  Nothing ever comes easy.  Too sleepy.  Tomorrow is another day.

You are a special person.

You are a special person.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!

Did I mention that they moved out the coach across the street Tuesday.  Also, yesterday, Yumi, Auntie Isabel's hairdresser, who has changed locations and is working three days a week in Castro Valley, said that they Do Take Visa at the new location.  She is a bit expensive, but I really liked the way she did my hair that one time, and I am Really Unhappy with how my hair is right now.  So, in a few weeks I will make an appointment and go over to the new location and have Yumi do my hair.

Today, dad and I,  are having Thanksgiving Dinner with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel and Tommy.  What they do not know is that Bill, Carol, Carol's dad Jim, Doris, Corky, Ellen, and I think a couple more people, have invited Themselves to join us.  We haven't mentioned it because it turns into a problem.  We're hoping to keep it simple.  I'm just going to make sure that the five of us get seated together and since we tend to always hang out at restaurants and talk for a good two hours, I'm hoping everyone else eats and goes.  Cross fingers this stays simple.

Everything turned out perfectly.  Though about 11:00am dads back went completely OUT.  Then we gave him a Norco pain pill and FIVE straight shots of Canadian Club Whiskey in 30 minutes.  WOW!  Did he feel Better!  You should see cousin Tommy.  He has lost 37 pounds.  Here I talk about it constantly and his doctor said "Eat smaller portions" - AND HE DID!  hahaha  I am so proud of him.  He looks so much Healthier!

CURE BRONCHITIS QUICKLY! & ALZHEIMER'S

CURE BRONCHITIS QUICKLY! & ALZHEIMER'S

1.  Take Ivy Leaf to Clear Congestion.
Ivy Leaf is as effective as prescription ambroxol at clearing congestion-causing phlegm from the lungs, thanks to its natural expectorants, which thin mucus and trigger a productive cough.  Take 50 mg., three to four times daily.  Findy Ivy Leaf in drugstores.

2.  Loosen phlegm with NAC
Regularly taking N-acetylcysteine (NAC) can also help reduce the thickness of phlegm, relieving a persistent cough.  Take 500 mg., twice daily, for either acute or chronic bronchitis.  NAC is available in most drugstores.

3.  Turn on a Humidifier to breathe easier.
Warm moist air helps loosen mucus in your bronchial tubes, making it easier to cough up.  Just be sure to clean the humidifier according to the product manual to avoid germ growth in the water container.

4.  Try a proven herbal germ fighter - Pelargonium
Pelargonium can relieve chest pain, fever and congestion for up to 97% of bronchitis sufferers within one week.  The herb works by speeding up the motion of cilia, tiny hair-like structures in the nose and airways that capture and eject invading germs.  Take 30 drops three times daily for seven days.  (Umcka ColdCare by Nature's Way is the most widely available pelargonium supplement; find it in Walgreens and other drugstores.)

PREVENT COLDS - AND ALZHEIMER'S!

1,000 mg of Vitamin C Daily.

Repeat positive mantra to relieve stress - such as "I Can Handle Anything" - several times daily.

Prevent plaque buildup with tumeric.
Eating 1/4 tsp. daily of this golden-hued Indian spice can help prevent - and even reverse - Alzheimer's disease says Ann Kulze, M.D. author of Dr. Ann's 10-Step Diet.  Turmeric's active ingredient - curcumin - energizes immune cells, helping them quickly clear away 30% of damaging plaque deposits in the brain.

Auntie Isabel is getting her hair done in Hayward today, because tomorrow is Thanksgiving.  We are all going to try "Bake N Bite" the restaurant that replaced Dino's over on Industrial  Not sure what it is like.  Always fun to try new restaurants.  Oh Uh  Just looked them up on Yelp.  This is a Filipino restaurant with not a very good review.  No way will Uncle Joe eat here.  He is the most finicky eater.  Plain hot dogs, plain hamburgers, plain chili, cheese enchilada - that's about it.  Think we had better find another place to eat for lunch today.  Went to Denny's and had so much fun.  This was really a fun day.

4:30am  Just turned on the TV to HSN and ordered the personal Hunter Ultrasonic Personal Humidifier.  I tend to get bronchitis in the winter.  Fingers crossed, this will help me avoid it this year.

Your heart knows what's best for you. Follow it.

Your heart knows what's best for you. Follow it.

This morning I am going to the Dr. Wick's office for my teeth cleaning.  I love going here.  They give me "Happy Gas" and a radio headset with music and I take a nice happy little "trip".  Hee Hee  Very Happy.  Well, looks like I am now back on the four-month cleaning schedule.  The six-month schedule is not working.  I know that Uncle Joe and dad have the same problem - just too much tartar build-up.  Must be a genetic thing.  Well, looking on the bright side - I get the "Happy Gas" three times a year rather than two!  Been trying to think of a Title to start my blog on WordPress.  I am currently considering "BlueheavenLiving".  Honestly, thinking of a title is ten thousand times harder than just writing a blog.  I want something short and simple, but nothing really has come to me so far.  Blueheaven was my first username when I first started using a computer (actually WebTV) years ago, and somehow that just stays with me.  It seems silly, but I just cannot think of anything else that has resonated with me.  I sort of want a title that can follow for Forever.  Obviously, my current blogger title "AroundHayward" was just meant for now - although it is certainly lasting a lot longer than I ever anticipated.  But, I have read that these blogger posts can be deleted by Google at any time.  I have put Ancestry info in here and pictures that I was hoping to keep.  So, really would like to switch to Wordpress.

Passion and positivity make the impossible possible!

Passion and positivity make the impossible possible!

Dad and I are going to Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel's apartment and then out for lunch at Jack-in-the-Box.  Ugh.  Just weighed myself.  200 pounds.  Sheesh.  Jumped on the rebounder tonight.  I liked it better when I never had to think about weight.  I actually "feel" heavy these days.  So, it makes it more interesting to become lighter again.  Aaahhh.  Yes!  I would like that very much.

Take a break. You owe it to yourself!

Take a break. You owe it to yourself!

Dad and I are going to the movies this morning and seeing "Flight" with Denzel Washington.  This afternoon the Oakland Raiders are playing.  Go Raiders!  I've been enjoying my Millet Hull Pillow.  It's actually kind of huge and heavy, but I really love sleeping on it.  Lots of amazing support in a very comforting way.  Not very portable though.  But, it is one amazing pillow.  Need to try and figure out how to use my Millet Hull Body Pillow on the bed.  Patience.  It takes patience.  You would think I would be full of patience with my easy lifestyle and yet...........  hehe  Patience.  I am constantly teetering on extreme enjoyment of this simple lifestyle and total impatience of my non lifestyle.  Maybe that's just how life is.  Appreciating what I have now - and that is a LOT - and impatient to go off and actually do Something.  Primarily, I am Loving being Healthy.  That is something I need to constantly work on to continue being healthy.  This extra weight is a time bomb and I need to start taking it seriously and get to a healthy weight.  Look - Chocolate!  hahahahahahahahahahaaaa

You are some to be admired.

You are some to be admired.

Simple Saturday.  Dad and I went shopping at Walmart this morning.  Lots of fun rain this morning.  Made bacon and eggs for breakfast and Ghiradelli's Chocolate Brownies with Caramel this afternoon.  Watched lots of Judge Judy and Judge Milian.  Jumped on my Rebounder.  Yea, still reading a lot about RVing on my computer.  Wonder if I will enjoy it as much doing it as I do reading about it.  Maybe I only want to go for a weekend.  haha The laugh would be on me.  But dreaming is fun.  Gotta dream about something, right!

Possibilities always outnumber problems.

Possibilities always outnumber problems.

Ran around and did a little bit of everything today.  Firestone, Chinese food, post office, Fry's Electronics, Burger King and just general running around.   Finally, it started to rain - YEA! - and came on home.  Enjoying being cozy.

You are genuinely fabulous!

This morning dad and I are meeting Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel at Country Waffles in Dublin.  Then after breakfast, the four of us will go across the street to the Dollar Tree Store.  Dublin has an Amazing Dollar Store.  Funny how they put the Best Products in the areas where people who already have money get the Best Deals.  Crazy but True.

Hope is like a best friend: always there to life you up.

Another amazing gorgeous fall day.  Fall is my favorite season.  Dad drove his own car to exercise this morning so that Bill could go to his monthly Sirs luncheon afterwards and dad could drive to the clubhouse dining table.  I finally used my new Vitamix and made a banana smoothie.  Should have put ice in mine.  Of course I dumped the smoothie down the drain.  Too lazy to add ice.  haha  Think I prefer to just eat the bananas!  Went to Jim's Salon and had my hair cut and colored.  They made it darker than I wanted.  I liked how they had it with more blonde.  I told him I liked it lighter, but.... Well, next time I will speak up and use the word Blonde.  I may even go back sooner like 4 to 6 weeks.  I was so happy with it, I had let it grow out quite a bit.  Also, had a pedicure at the nail salon next door.  I like going there because they don't torture my ticklish feet.  tee hee.  Went to Tacos Uruapan across the street from home and had their Carne Asada Fries.  Okay, not great, but definitely fun to try.  Did a lot of running around and also went barefoot walking over at the Twin Bridges Park.  I love doing that.  Just a perfect, wonderful fall day.

You make a difference in someone's life every day!

Lots of running around this beautiful morning.  This afternoon took dad to Dr. Rhee, the workers comp doctor for his back to get all of his prescriptions renewed.  Then we had lunch at McDonalds.  Nice day.  This morning I finally took a complete "sponge" bath with just wash cloths and no shower.  Not so bad.  Not sure if this is something I want to strive for on a regular basis.  Just curious to try it.  Will be interesting if this was a one-time thing or a longer experiment.  Always thinking about a more minimalist life.  Then again, why not just enjoy the good life why I currently have it!  Just trying to amuse myself I guess.  It's always more fun when you know you have the choice.

Draw people in with a smile!

Guys are still prepping six coaches in park to be removed, including the one across the street from us.  Texas Road House had free lunch today between
11-2pm.  Dad and I had lunch with Uncle Joe and Auntie Isabel.  We chatted with a family outside while waiting for our table.  Jim, son Patrick, and Ann.  They finally called our name - and at the same time this family of three had requested a table for seven and insisted we sit with them.  I don't think dad or Auntie Isabel were too happy.  Ann sat across from me was quite the talker.  She insisted on exchanging numbers at the end of the lunch.  Somehow, I think the family blames me, but I was innocent.  It all happened too quickly.  Nice family, but dad was stuck on the end and couldn't move or use his arm or cut his meat and he just got so miserable.  (Glad I wasn't sitting next to him, lol).  Hey, but the food was Delicious!  I kind of had a good time because this gal was pretty nice to me.  It was nice to be around happy people.  But, it does get a little bit tiring.  So it was great and semi-great, kinda.  Not easy to keep everybody happy.  It was great for me to have some real conversation.  That is pretty rare in my life these days.  I pretty much hear the same three sentences repeated over and over again.  Oh, and I jumped on my Rebounder for a good half hour this morning.  I really do like this rebounder.  Need to buy some more persimmons and learn how to ripen them.  And pomengranates.  Lots to learn.  Lots of Fun!
